昨春から製作を続けてきましたビクター・シラの最新作「BOOKDUMMIES: An Imaginary Studio, a Non-stop Process 1993-2015」の完成をようやく迎えることができました。
今回の日本帰国にあわせ、本書のご紹介と、ご協力頂いた方々へお礼できる場を設けたいと思い、ローンチパーティを開催する運びとなりました。

当日は、ビクターの祖国であるベネズエラの料理とラム酒、あとは、今回デザインとプロダクションを手伝ってくださった野本綾子さんの美味しいケーキが食べられますので、日曜の午後ですが、ぜひふらっと遊びにいらして下さい。実際のダミー本もいくつか展示する予定です。 当日参加も大歓迎です。 弊書は、ビクターの20年間の製作過程をまとめ記したものです。出版することを目的とせず、創作活動の媒体として本づくりを続けてきた彼のダミー本105冊を収録しています。文章は、本人に加え、ニューヨークの写真界に精通しているマーヴィン・ハイファマンとディードラ・ドナヒューが本書のために書き下ろしてくださりました。
